The form is quiet — a rounded cup, made to be held. Then the Amanita arrives. The handle grows as a sculpted stem into a gilled cap, with a small cluster of forest detail at its base. Here the fungus has wandered into space. Deep blues run from midnight to bright cobalt; pale foam gathers at the foot like a horizon. The cap of the handle keeps its dark gills, as if a night sky had grown a mushroom to hold.

It belongs to the Mushroom-Magic family, alongside Moss Beach Tan and the Amanita Watermarble mug — only this sister chose a more out-of-this-world look.
