Cetonia aurata — a summer gleam, held in porcelain and gold

From the warm meadows of Saaremaa comes this porcelain rose chafer, inspired by Cetonia aurata — the beetle that looks like a living jewel on a flower. Dark emerald glaze, 14k gold lines tracing the wing cases, two small gold eyes: a quiet flash of midsummer.

"Each brooch begins as my own original sculpted model. I make the plaster mold by hand, then cast every piece in fine porcelain. After firing, the green is glazed to a deep, glassy sheen, and the gold is painted on one by one. It is finished with a classical pin backing for comfortable wear."

Sculptural, small, and full of meadow light, it is for those who notice the beetles that look like treasure.

Slight variations are part of their character. Each piece is handmade in small batches.

Perfect for:

Nature enthusiasts, entomology lovers, collectors of insect jewellery, and anyone drawn to the hidden gleam of a summer field.
