Each brooch begins as my own original model, sculpted with care before I create a handmade plaster mold. From this mold, I cast each beetle in fine porcelain, forehand pigmenting my own vibrant deep blue porcelain. As a finishing touch hand-painting gold accents to bring their regal form to life. The brooches are completed with classical backings for comfortable wear.
