Each piece begins as my own original sculpture, carefully shaped to capture the delicate curve and texture of a moth’s wing. I create a handmade plaster mold from the model, then cast each wing in fine porcelain, tinting the clay beforehand to achieve a deep, natural charcoal tone. After firing, I hand-paint luminous gold details that trace the wing’s markings, bringing out its intricate geometry and gentle elegance. The earrings are completed with lightweight, comfortable round hooks for graceful movement.
