The Jackdaw Pendant Lamps - Set of Two

Inspired by the wild shores and quiet forests of Saaremaa, and by nature’s eternal cycle of life, death, and renewal, The Jackdaw Pendant Lamps belong to the same series as the Charms & Sorrows of Life earrings. They carry the spirit of the jackdaw — a bird of sharp intelligence, loyalty, and quiet mystery — into the home as soft, sculptural light.

Each canopy begins as an original clay model of a jackdaw skull, carefully shaped by hand. From this model a plaster mold is made, then fine porcelain is slip-cast, refined, and fired to a pure, luminous white. The finished porcelain forms are paired with clear glass bulbs and carefully chosen electrics, creating a pendant that feels both delicate and resolute.

Sold as a set of two, the lamps hang like quiet companions. When lit, the porcelain skulls cast gentle shadows while the warm filament glows beneath, turning the pair into a living meditation on transformation and resilience.
